The Alice House, West Hampstead

The Alice House in West Hampstead is one of the most popular pubs in the area, and it’s easy to see why. There’s always a great buzz in the pub, plus a nice outdoor terrace and they serve great food and also cocktails in jam jars and teapots. The Alice House has a sister pub in Queen’s Park which I haven’t visited yet but looks similar in terms of the atmosphere and food.

We came for a Saturday lunch and I chose the red onion & Oxford blue puff pastry tart with baby spinach, pear and candied walnut salad, which was delicious although it did not contain enough blue cheese for my liking! My friends had the British beef burger and the rare roast beef salad, both of which looked equally tasty. I recommend The Alice House for evening drinks as well as for lunch, it’s a place where we’ve spent many happy evenings.
